🔧 Built From the Ground Up — A Lifelong Love of Cars & Trucks
Long before I was curating canvas art, I was in the garage with my hands deep in an engine bay. I've built 5 cars and trucks from the ground up — not restorations, not bolt-ons, but full ground-up builds. The passion for craftsmanship, detail, and making something truly one-of-a-kind? That's the same energy that drives every print we create at eCanvas King.
The build below tells the whole story. It started as a rough 1966 GMC Suburban (linked to my "Monthly Updates") hauled home on a trailer — and ended up as the copper showstopper you see below. I did all the bodywork, painting and assembly.

My late wife and I also owned Attitude Custom Painting — a custom painting shop that specialized in motorcycles for 21 years. We poured everything into that business, just like we poured everything into each other. We were married one month shy of 38 years when she passed away in 2023 from GBM (Glioblastoma). She was 57. She was my partner in every sense of the word, and her eye for color and detail lives on in everything I create. She is in the 'hero image' (the large image at the top of the page) of the Religious Collection
🦋 Raising Monarchs — A Labor of Love
My girlfriend has an incredible passion for Monarch Butterflies — and together, we've raised and released over 1,300 Monarchs. From egg to chrysalis to that magical moment of release, it's one of the most rewarding things we do together. It's no coincidence that butterflies hold a special place in our canvas collection.

🌅 Chasing Sunsets Together
We're lucky enough to call sunny Pinellas County, Florida home — and we take full advantage of it. Few things beat ending the day watching the sunset together. The photo below is one I personally took at Indian Rocks Beach, just down the road — a fiery sky that stopped us both in our tracks.
